Origin of the project

The launch of Covenant of Mayors initiatives by EU commission in January 2008 had represented a milestone for local public authorities in playing an active role in energy policies. Around 1.200 municipalities have already signed the Covenant and a great part of them are small municipalities.

The first commitment in order to be part of the Covenant is the designing of the Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP): the key document that shows how the local government will reach its GHG emission target.

MED Programme

The MED programme continues the tradition of the European programmes for territorial Cooperation co-funded by the European commission. It includes the whole Nothern Mediterranean seacoast. Its prioritie, as determined by the new 2007-2013 period, aim at strengthening the European competitiveness through Regional competitiveness, employement and sustainable development. www.programmemed.eu.

ZEroCO2 FINAL EVENT: Florence April 18, 2013 - Tuscany Region Presidency, Pegaso Hall

“Zero Emission Communities” international meeting will close the project co -financed by the European
Regional Development Fund.

The event is the occasion for project’s manual official presentation.
The manual is the outline of methodologies and tools draft and applied during the project within local communities.

Technical seminar on wind mini-plant for rural communities

In the frame of ZEroCo2 project, Legambine te and Province of massa carrara organize a technical seminar in Apella di Licciana Nardi (MS).

Energy Saving in Greek Buildings
